About Top Cross Country Movers

Top Cross Country Movers is a free moving-planning site. We are not a moving company: we do not move anything, and we are not a party to any contract you sign with a mover.

It is one of three planning sites run with 8 Top Movers: Top Movers Hub for city-to-city costs, city guides and calculators; Top Cross Country Movers for long-haul routes; and Top Interstate Movers for moves between the 50 states and DC. Our top choice list of long-distance movers lives on 8topmovers.com.

Cost ranges here are modelled, not quoted. For a long-distance move our model works from the road miles and a typical shipment weight for the home size; for a local move, from a typical crew size and hours. It adds a season factor and shows a range either side of the midpoint. Delivery windows are modelled the same way.

A range is useful for budgeting and for sense-checking an estimate you have been given. It is not an offer, it is not binding, and no mover has to honour it. Your real price comes from a written estimate after a mover reviews your inventory.

We are an advertising and marketing company, and may be compensated by movers in our network. Nobody pays for placement. When you ask for estimates, the 8 Top Movers moving team gets rates from the licensed movers in its network and brings back written estimates. You never pay us, and asking is never a booking.

The movers on our top choice list are our top picks and affiliated movers from our network. Global Elegance Moving and Logistics shares ownership with 8 Top Movers.

The cost pages, guides and tools on this site are free to use, with no sign-up.

• Facts about a specific company come from the federal record, or we do not publish them.
• Cost figures and delivery windows are labelled as modelled wherever they appear.
• We do not publish star ratings, review counts or scores for movers.
• We tell you how to check a mover yourself instead of vouching for one.

If something on this site is wrong or out of date, email hello@8topmovers.com and tell us the page. We will fix a figure or a record that misstates its source.
